Increase protection with TOTP

What it is

TOTP is widely used as a two-factor authentication method.
More formally, Time-based One-time Password Algorithm (TOTP) is an algorithm that computes a one-time password from a shared secret key and the current time.

In a typical two-factor authentication application, user authentication proceeds as follows: a user enters username and password into a website or other server, generates a one-time password for the server with the Latch application, and types that password into the server as well.

How it works

In order to activate a TOTP; a service provider will, typically, place some option on their website or service to do so. Usually you will find a QR code, just scan it with Latch application.

Once you have scanned a QR code (or introduced the data manually) you will find the new TOTP on your Dashboard:

Just press the 'PIN' button to reveal the current code that you can place into the service requesting it. A timer will also be displayed with the code expiration time.

Once the timer expires code will disappear, press the button again if you need a new one.

And everything from a simple mobile device app!
